ACCA Held Seminar with Business School Students

The ACCA held its campus talk in the business school

A ACCA organized semina: ACCA-an excellent contributor to you financial success was held on 30th March. The seminar aimed to give guidance for the university students on how to adapt to the career environment. The staff of ACCA Guangzhou representative office, chief representative Zhe Yuan, marketing manager Tian Chen and the senior lecturer Jinming Mao, introduced to the attendees the ACCA Qualification Certificate and share with them some prospects for the future of Accounting. What is more, they discussed with students about the study and career plan in depth.

Miss Chen talked about the requirements for accounting and relative clerks and then gave the bright career prospects ACCA provided, with emphasis on its development and the membership advantages. ACCA (charter accountants) is the world's largest professional accountants group. ACCA qualification is known as "passport for the international finance sector ". Many ACCA members hold important positions in the large companies, they have prominent advantages, for example, many employers ,especially some famous enterprises, accounting firms and financial investment companies, even make the membership of ACCA a prerequisite or preferred condition.

Then Mr. Mao gave some details about the ACCA examination which was paid much concern. To get the ACCA certificate, one has to pass 14 exams, however, undergraduates majoring in accounting can apply for 5 exemptions. Meanwhile, Mao suggested students arrange university study and future career reasonably. In addition, Mr. Mao also talked about his own experience and the influence of ACCA to him.

In the interactive stage, students actively put forward many questions about ACCA examination and the professional development issues in accounting. It reflected the students’ enthusiasm about this lecture. The staff provided detailed solutions and presented small gift to  some lucky students .

According to those who attended the lecture, after this , they had learnt something very important about ACCA. In addition, questionnaires about " whether you want to register for an ACCA examination" were delivered to students. The feedback was that 66% were intended to attend the ACCA exam, which demonstrated their keen interest in this topic.
