On the afternoon of November 6, 2023, the School of Business at Shantou University successfully held the fifth "Sanpu Forum" for international young scholars at the East Coast Campus. This sub-forum, which combined online and offline formats, attracted the attention of numerous young scholars. The sub-forum set up three parallel sub-venues for Business Administration Department, Applied Economics Department and Accounting and Finance Department, inviting more than 10 outstanding scholars from home and abroad to give special academic reports.
The sub-venue for Business Administration Department was hosted by Vice Dean Guo Gongxing, with the participation of Dr. Liu Jiubing, Dr. Lei Xi, Dr. Li Menglin, and other teachers. Dr. Tang Yuanzhao from the University of Science and Technology of China, Dr. Ouyang Liu from the Institute for Tourism Studies in Macau, Dr. Li Xiao from Sun Yat-sen University, and Dr. Liu Canmian from Sun Yat-sen University made their respective reports.
The sub-venue for Applied Economics Department was hosted by Professor Hu Shaodong, with the participation of Associate Professor Zhong Zhaohui, Dr. Ye Fangqin, and Dr. Lin Junqin. Dr. Li Mengna from Nankai University, Dr. Xu Kexin from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Dr. Zhu Yuan from Renmin University of China, and Dr. Li Xuhao from the University of Edinburgh made their respective reports.
The sub-venue for Accounting and Finance Department was hosted by Professor Wen Riguang, the head of Accounting and Finance Department, with the participation of Associate Professor Chen Wenchuan, Associate Professor Liu Wei, Dr. Duan Ran, Dr. Wei Zhe, Dr. Chen Zhifeng, and other teachers. Dr. Zhang Bofu from Tongji University, Assistant Researcher Zhang Huaxi from Tsinghua University, and Dr. Wei Shanshan from Xiamen University made their respective reports.
The academic reports presented by young scholars at the Sanpu Forum's sub-forum for the School of Business focused on cutting-edge theories and hot topics, promoting our school's experience accumulation in disciplinary construction and academic discussions, and helping our school continuously advance high-quality academic research with an international perspective.
