On the afternoon of November 24, 2023, the cooperation signing and unveiling ceremony for the establishment of the "Fire and Financial Training Base for the Eastern Guangdong Region" was jointly held by the School of Business and the Shantou Fire Rescue Brigade at East Coast Campus. More than 20 attendees, including Zou Zhibo, Party (CPC) Secretary of School of Business, Yang Junwei, Deputy Brigade Commander of the Shantou Fire Rescue Brigade, Wen Riguang, Head of Accounting and Finance Department at the School of Business, Wu Xidan, Chief of the Finance Department of the Shantou Fire Rescue Brigade, and financial staff members from the Shantou Fire Rescue Brigade, participated in this event.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Secretary Zou Zhibo warmly welcomed the delegation from the Shantou Fire Rescue Brigade. Secretary Zou introduced the development of the School of Business and provided detailed explanations on our professional construction, faculty team, as well as customized courses and cooperative cases with various government agencies, enterprises, and institutions.
Subsequently, both parties signed a cooperation agreement for the joint establishment of the "Fire and Financial Training Base for the Eastern Guangdong Region" and unveiled its plaque. After the unveiling ceremony, Associate Professor Wen Riguang, Head of Accounting and Finance Department, gave a course introduction on the topic of "An Interesting Discussion on Accounting Thinking" as part of the training series.
The collaboration between the School of Business at Shantou University and the Shantou Fire Rescue Brigade will effectively provide intellectual support and resource guarantee for financial training in the Eastern Guangdong region. It will also contribute to our school's further high-quality service in local talent development.
