加拿大皇后大学

Queen’s University （女王大学）自1841年（建国前二十六年）成立以来，已有150年历史，以英国维多利亚女王命名，影响加拿大的教育颇深，且曾获得很多国际性的奖励及拥有很高的国际声望,为加拿大著名的贵族学校。Queen’s的传统教育品质在学术界已很有声望，而且Queen’s曾是多项学术的先驱：首先，Queen’s的学刊是加国最早发行的大学刊物；Queen’s是加拿大研究工作的先驱；是第一个开设商业、工程物理学、视觉艺术、政策研究、企业关系等课程的学校。更值得一提的是Queen’s亦有多项第一：加拿大第一所开设政治及经济课程的大学；加拿大第一所开设放射物理课程的大学，亦是加国第一把交椅；第一所利用电传视讯技术教授MBA课程的大学；第一所可以授予学位的高校；同时也是加拿大第一所建立学生政府的高校。它曾培养出一大批知名的政治家与学者，比如：政治学研究专家George Perlin和John Meisel是加拿大政坛的名家，托利党前财政部长John C. Rosbie和加拿大前驻美大使Derek Burney也是该校校友。很自然，该校的政治研究及经济学系负享盛名。

Queen's University at Kingston (commonly shortened to Queen's University or Queen's) is a public research university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Founded on 16 October 1841 via a royal charter issued by Queen Victoria, the university predates Canada's founding by 26 years. Queen's holds more than 1,400 hectares (3,500 acres) of land throughout Ontario and owns Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, England. Queen's is organized into ten undergraduate, graduate and professional faculties and schools.

Queen’s is one of Canada’s oldest degree-granting institutions, and has influenced Canadian higher education since 1841 when it was established by Royal Charter of Queen Victoria.
