On 3rd April, Professor Yao Shujie, dean of School of Contemporary Chinese Studies of University of Nottingham, economic consultant for UNDP and the WB, visited Shantou University upon invitation. Dean Xu Zongling and a number of professors of STU Business School attended the discussion semiar with Professor Yao.
In the seminar, Dean Xu briefly introduced the current development and vision of the Business School. She also invited Professor Yao for giving a lecture in the Economic Forum in the near future. As a Teochew emigrant, Professor Yao has been interested in keeping track of the development of homeland. His unique opinions in various economic issues attracted close attention of the attendees.
After the seminar, Professor Yao was taken to the Library for an exibition tour in the company of Professor Li Yue, Professor Yao Hongxin and Professor Yao Ming-an.
