The 10th AIA Quest for the Champion Commucator Competition was held at HKUST on 17th April. Aimed to highlight the importance of linguistic skills, the competition attracted contenders from all over the nation, including Tsinghua University, Shantou University and HKCU. Ms Chen Hui, a grade 09 Business School student, was sent to represent Shantou University in the event.
Designed to encourage undergraduates to use languages with confidence in future workplace, the competition is comprised of speech and Q&A sessions in Mandarin and English. Judging committee members of this year's event include Dr He Mulin from AIA HK, Mr Yang Jiesheng, former AIA HK Chairman, Mr George Ricketts, etc.
Despite the slightly under-expectation performance, Ms Chen of Shantou University received much appreciation and compliments from judges for the confidence and linguistic fluency she had shown.
