Business School was Invited to Attend the EFMD International Workshop

On Sept. 16th to 19th, Dean of Business School Prof. Xu Zongling and the International Project Director Vice-professor Kong Ying were invited to participate in the International Workshop organized by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in Brussels, Belgium. The representatives in this seminar were from 25 Business Schools of the Universities of China, Morocco, Lebanon, Belgium, Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and other countries and regions.
 
The workshop was carried out in form of theme speeches and group discussions, around the theme "Recruiting and Retaining Excellent Faculty in your Business School", exploring the ways of how to increase the faculty ratio of internationalization in Business School, how to make the recruitment process more effectively, how to reduce turnover rate of faculty, how to formulate effective policies and standards in order to attract and retain good employees, and other topics. BI Norwegian School of Management Senior Vice President Prof. Tor J. Larsen, EFMD Quality Certification Services Director Prof. Julio Urgel, HEC Paris Accounting and Management Control Department, Prof. Veronique Malleret, etc. had made wonderful speeches to the audience respectively.
 
During the meeting, Prof. Xu Zongling and Prof. Kong Ying had conducted in-depth discussions and exchanged with representatives of other Business Schools on mutual communication and cooperation in a number of issues. After the seminar, two professors called on EFMD Members Services Assistant, Ms. Liliane Gaspari and Quality Certification Services, Assistant Gladys Evangelista and knew detailed information on joining the EFMD and how to apply for authentication of EPAS, and so on.
Through this meeting, Business School of STU had strengthened the understanding and communication with the EFMD and expanded the contacts with other well-known University's Business School.
