Business School Professors Attended the 3rd AAPBS

    On May 21st to 23rd, the third AAPBS (Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools) workshop hosted by the University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia was held in Brisbane. Dean of Shantou University Business School, Prof. Xu Zongling and International Project Director, Vice-Prof. Kong Ying were invited to attend this workshop, as well as other 51 representatives from Business School of 32 Universities in China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and other countries and regions.
 
 
    The workshop was conducted in the form of theme speeches and group discussions around the theme of "Learning in the Global Landscape" to probe into how to improve the quality of business school graduates on the Asia-Pacific region. At the opening ceremony, Dean Prof. Tim Brailsford of UQ Business School made a wonderful speech. He pointed out: "AAPBS workshop mainly aims at business management education and students training, and further enhancing the level of business school graduates on the Asia-Pacific region. The purpose of the workshop is to enable the participants to grasp the philosophy and strategy of the current international business management education, as well as to apply them in their own school." Then, the representatives had lively discussions and exchanges on how to nurture a Learning Organization, the role of business schools, the challenges faced by undergraduate education, the needs and expectations of enterprises, how to use electronic technology for teaching and how to evaluate students correctly.

    During this workshop, Professor Xu Zongling and Vice-Professor Kong Ying also had in-depth discussions with many Deans and representatives of Business Schools on future communication and cooperation.
