On May 15th, AAPBS (Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools) accepted Business School of STU as its member officially. This marked a very important progress for Business School to carry out her internationalization strategy.
AAPBS was established in 2004 and sponsored by 11 universities, including Korea Advanced Institute Science and Techology, Tsinghua University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Taiwan University. The aim of AAPBS is to promote the communication and cooperation among the business schools in the Asia and Pacific regions, improve their education level and train the elites of business administration for the economic development of Asia and Pacific regions. Up to now, there are 96 official members in AAPBS, of which 36 are mainland universities, including Tsinghua University and Peking University.
In order to promote communication and cooperation with the excellent business schools in the world and to participate actively in the innovation and development of management, Business School of STU has started to communicate with AAPBS since November, 2007. We finished all the application materials after a lot of preparations and presented the application to AAPBS. Finally we were accepted as their official member on May 15th, 2008.
To our school, becoming the member of AAPBS is an important step to internationalization. It not only pushes us to attend the international academic activities more positively, but also has a positive effect for our school’s overall strength and competitive power.
