On April 11th to 17th 2011, the 23rd Global Business Case Competition (GBCC) was held by Foster School of Business, University of Washington. STU business school students, Xin Xiong, Xiaosu Huang, Jiaxin Chen and Jiahui Zeng, were participating in GBCC in Seattle, led by advisor Dr. Kun Tan. STU team joined the other teams from globally renowned universities, including University of Washington (US), University of Minnesota (US), University of Western Ontario (Canada), SimonFraserUniversity (Canada), University of Belgrade (Serbia), University of Auckland (New Zealand), FGV – EAESP (Brazil), Institute of Business Administration Karachi (Pakistan), KobeUniversity (Japan).
STU team actively participated in activities organized by the GBCC committee, including sharing experience with the high school students regarding to case analysis methods, observing classes at campus and visiting famous multinational corporations such as Starbucks, Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon, Alaska Airline. Having these activities have broadened the international experience and business skills of the students as well as strengthened the friendship among the different nations and cultures.
