Shantou University Business School have selected Jiayun Wen（2010, Accounting）and Yan Feng (2010,International economics and trade) to participate in the exchange program with University of Manitoba, Canada in spring semester. University of Manitoba is a public comprehensive university, found in 1877. According to Ecole de Mines de Paris ranking for universities in the globe, Asper Business School ranks 89th among all the business schools in the world, and ranks 5th in Canada.
Four months of the exchange program in University of Manitoba started in January and ended in April. Students said that without the supporting from Shantou University, they could not have such a precious opportunity to study and live in Canada. During the life there, both students were not only improved their business skills, knew much more about Canadian perspective and business education system, but also developed deep friendship with local friends.
Diverse extra circular activities play vital roles in the exchange program. For example, AIMS (an student organization in Asper Business School) provided many opportunities for our students to see the city and Canadian culture. Visiting local entertainment places and participating in festival (Festival du voyage) helped them to know Canadian culture and history much better.
After the exchange program, both students chose to go travelling, especially Jiayun Wen, who traveled the whole south part of Canadian alone. The beautiful scenery impressed them a lot, which gives them a long lasting memory and be an important part of their life.
