Community and Technology Camp 2013, organized by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) from 25th August to 4th September was held in Surabaya, the second largest city of Indonesia. Deng Peixia, major in Accounting represented Business School of Shantou University to join this program. In addition, only Shantou University was from China.
As a successful program, this event attracted participants from China, UK, Japan, Korea, Thailand and other 9 counties. Through this event, Deng Peixia improved her abilities of many aspects. Moreover, she won the award of “the most friendly” which was voted by all the participants.
【Academic Communication】
CommTECH 2013 was well organized，participants of this event attended many excellent activities such as learning the native language, understanding the opportunity and challenge of the local community, knowing the ecological disaster which caused by inappropriate exploitation, etc. Ms Deng Peixia was quite active when it comes to the discussion part of those activities. Her suggestion about the internationalization of Batik was highly appreciate by all the participants.
【Culture Exchange】
During the culture exchange process, Ms Deng Peixia got to know more the traditional culture of Indonesia. At the same time, she let all the participants knew a different China.
【Social Activity】
Ms Deng Peixia was quite enjoyed talking with the friend from other countries. Through their communication, she let other participants knows a different China and the special Shantou University. Moreover, she won the award of the “the most friendly” which voted by all the participants.
【Understanding of the activity】
Ms Deng Peixia learnt a lot during this amazing program. She not only made many good friends, but also understood that she needs to well develop herself. She was so thankful that Professor Wong Wong Ming and Professor King Wu gave her such a good chance to learn more about this colorful world.
