2016 STU-McGill International Summer School Program Report

At the very beginning, on behalf of all the fellow students participating the ISP Program, we would like to show our sincere appreciation towards Li Ka Shing Foundation, Shantou University Business School and Desautels Faculty of Management form McGill University, who benevolently provide us such a tremendous and invaluable opportunity to participate in 2016 International Summer School Program.

During July.16-Aug.12, 2016, 25 of Shantou University Business School students started the exchange journey with excitement and determination.
As the second largest city in Canada, Montreal is recognized as one the most favorable region for people to immigrate, where we accumulated the most unforgettable life experience and acquired the warmest kindness. The compatibility of diverse races and cultures provides enabled students to be immersed in a multicultural understanding and national atmosphere. Embrace, kindness and respect contributed to be the eternal themes of the city, inspiring each single one of the students.   
Studying in McGill University would definitely be the most treasurable experience for student’s exchange life. Management in The Global Context was one the core course of the program and taught by Professor William Polushin. He comprehensively portrayed the magnificent scenery of the unprecedented globalization. By means of describing the innovative business approaches -Global Value Chain and illustrating the charisma of international business trade, Professor. Polushin presented a business world beyond students’ imagination. The other core course, Global Branding, imparted by Professor. Robert Mackalski, was another completely new and attracting field for students. Creating unique class atmosphere through abundant interaction and immersion of multiple brands, Professor. Mackalski humorously and wisely opened up an innovation-oriented branding world for students.
In the meantime, Desautels Faculty of Management had held several warming gathering and tours for students, offering students with plenty great pleasure time. Shantou University specifically invited Professor. Bu to have a kind communication and interaction with students, which is really impressive and touching.
Even though there was just one-month time in McGill, we did development eternal friendships with our respectful professors, kind advisors and lovely friends and classmates. The memories and stories in McGill would be forever cherished by 25 of us.
