On March 13, 2017, Too Siew Hong, Koh Kwee Yong, Lim Geok Choo, Lee Kok Leong from Ngee Ann Polytechnic from visited Shantou University Business School and met with Associate Dean and Prof. Bu Xiangzh, Assoc. Professor Dennis Lee from STU Business School and Assoc. Professor Lai Liyang STU Engineering School to discuss exchange programs between the two institutions
Ngee Ann Polytechnic is an institution of higher learning (IHL) in Singapore and an industry-oriented alternative to a broader based high school education, polytechnic graduates in Singapore are sought after for work or many continue to complete university degrees. The polytechnic was one of the first institutions of higher learning to articulate a broad-based and multidisciplinary approach to learning.
During the meeting, the two institutions exchanged opinions on the undergraduate short-term visiting exchange program and study tour. Ngee Ann Polytechnic also suggest to offer the opportunities of short-term internship program for STU students who are exchanged to study in NAP. Both sides hope to strengthen cooperation and provide increased opportunities for both teachers and students.
